WARRI: P.T.I STUDENTS TO EMBARK OF INDUSTRY BASED PROJECT -CE

As part of efforts to further preposition the Petroleum training institute P.T.I Effurrun for enhanced productivity, projects of Students of the institution will henceforth be industry based. The school which has under gone major reforms under the current leadership recently entered into partnership with the amnesty office for the training of ex militants. Addressing newsmen on Tuesda y in the council chambers chief executive of the school Prof Sunny E. Iyuke who decried level project plagiarism among students in Nigeria said when projects address life problems of the industry; companies will be open to sponsoring such works. While commending the federal government for the increased support, he disclosed that the upcoming     graduation will serve as an opportunity for the institute to showcase its achievements in tender with its vision and Mandate in its establishment act.

FARMERS MUST BE RESILIENT : GOV OKOWA

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has urged farmers in the state not to be discouraged but be resilient in their farming work due to the recent flood that overran 16 local government areas of the state. Governor Okowa made the call when he addressed farmers during the 2018 World Food Day celebration held in Asaba, the Delta State capital. The Governor who was represented by Emmanuel Agwariawodo, stated that his Government would join hands with stakeholders to eradicate hunger in the state. He thereafter called on the federal government, private and international agencies to come to the aid of Delta state farmers, even as he encouraged farmers not to relent in what they are doing. The Permanent Secretary, Delta State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr Oghoro Augustine said that this year's theme is, “Achieving Zero Hunger.
