Delta Oil and Gas host Communities to benefit massively in 2018- Izokumor (News + Video)

The  commissioner representing Ijaw Ethnic Nationality on the board of Delta State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission DESOPADEC, Chief Favour Izokumor has assured that Host Communities in Delta state will benefit massively from the state government in 2018.


In an interview in Warri, on Saturday, December 23rd 2017,Chief Izokumor  commended leadership of the various communities for collaborating  with the state government to halt vandalism of oil and gas installations across the state and urged them to sustain the tempo in 2018.
While reserveing special commendation for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his uncommon leadership qualities which set the tone for the current peace in the state and across the Niger Delta, well as the economic strides of the state, he hailed members of Pan Niger Delta Leadership Forum PANDEF for their constant dialogue on behalf of the region with the Federal govgovernment despite the challenges.


ON 2018/2018  ELECTIONS

Chief Izokumor meanwhile asserted that with the democratic structures of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state  the PDP will record landslide victory in the January 6th 2018 Local Government Election.

Further more he congratulated the new PDP executives led by Prince Uche Secondus and expressed belief that the PDP will return to Aso Rock in 2019, stressing that recent emergence of a faction will not distract the party as such issues will be internally resolved.

SSS DG REPLACEMENT: IYC SAYS IT IS SECTIONALISM TAKEN TOO FAR

The attention of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) worldwide have been drawn to multiple newspaper reports to the effect that the Presidency is shopping for the replacement of the new Director General of the State Security Services, Mr. Matthew Seiyefa as a result of some reforms embarked upon by the new SSS DG who was appointed less than one month ago.  It was also reported that the Presidency through the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari has ordered Mr. Seiyefa in a letter dated August 30, 2018 to reverse some of the postings that were done and not to taken any further action towards repositioning the security agency without the approval of the Presidency.
