GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: DELTA STATE EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMMES (STEP AND YAGEP) FORM IS OUT.

It is hereby announced for the information of the general public particularly Deltans that the Office of the Delta State Chief Job Creation officer, Governor’s Office Asaba has invited applications from suitably qualified and interested candidates for admission into the 2017/2018 cycle of Delta State Government Job Creation Programmes – Skills Training & Entrepreneurship Programme
(STEP) and Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurs Programme (YAGEP).
Applicants must be presently unemployed Deltan youth with genuine desire to acquire skills and training for entrepreneurship, aged 18-35 years and must possess at least West African School Certificate.

Available trades for skills acquisition are as follows:

Skills Training & Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP)

1. Fashion Design & Tailoring

2. Catering & Confectionary

3. Hair Dressing & Makeover, Cosmetology & Barbing

4. Decoration and Event Management

5. Plumbing

6. Electrical Installation & Repairs

7. Building Services (PoP, Tiling and Interlocking)

8. Welding and Fabrication

9. Audio Visual Services

Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurs Programme (YAGEP)

1. Fish production

2. Rice production

3. Vegetables Production

Accordingly, interested applicants should collect application forms from Office of the Chief Job Creation Officer, Anwai Road, Asaba OR Governor’s Office Annex, along NPA Expressway, near DBS, Warri. Application forms can also be accessed and submitted online at www.deltastatejobcreation.ng Completed application forms must be received not later than Friday December 22, 2017.

Rights Lawyer and former member of the All Progressive Congress APC, Robinson Ariyo says level of disorganization within the APC from the Delta State chapter to the National level is alarming. SSS DG REPLACEMENT: IYC SAYS IT IS SECTIONALISM TAKEN TOO FAR

The attention of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) worldwide have been drawn to multiple newspaper reports to the effect that the Presidency is shopping for the replacement of the new Director General of the State Security Services, Mr. Matthew Seiyefa as a result of some reforms embarked upon by the new SSS DG who was appointed less than one month ago.  It was also reported that the Presidency through the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari has ordered Mr. Seiyefa in a letter dated August 30, 2018 to reverse some of the postings that were done and not to taken any further action towards repositioning the security agency without the approval of the Presidency.
