HORROR: Kidnapers Drink Victim's Blood

16 Suspected kidnappers, along the Abuja-Kaduna road have confessed to drinking blood of victims who cannot afford ransom.
The kidnappers who were paraded by the Nigerian police on Tuesday in Abuja claimed that drinking of victim's blood is the last resort if all effort to get ransom fails.
They confessed to killing of over ten people.

Speaking to newsmen Nigeria police spokesperson Jimoh Moshood, said the suspects will soon be charged to court.

Fuel Scarcity: Stop hurting Nigerians- Akpojotor

F ollowing continued scarcity of petroleum motor spirit PMS or fuel across the country, the member representing Delta Central on the state Waste Management Board Sir Igho Akpojotor has blasted some greedy stakeholders in the oil sector for bringing hardship on the populace. Speaking on Sunday in Warri, Sir Akpojotor said some of the stakeholders have made it a habit to create scarcity during festive periods in other to make more money, this is even as he decried the sales of fuel at filling stations for #170 in Ughelli and other parts of Delta state. While admitting that there were contentious issues between them and  the government, He asserted  that the action of the oil sector stakeholders was in the interest of Nigerians. Akpojotor therefore  urged them to work with government and resolve whatever difference they have.

PROTEST: Okowa, Makinde Committed to DESOPADEC Workers welfare - Owen

Management of the Delta state Oil producing Areas Development Commission DESOPADEC has assured workers of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa administration's commitment to their welfare. Speaking following a protest by the workers Comrade  Owen Oghenero Edafe, Personal Assistant on media and publicity to the Managing Director /CEO of Delta state oil producing Areas Development Commission(Desopadec) Williams Makinde, reiterated that the MD is aware of their grievances and remains committed to addressing them as the state's economy continues improve. He added that recent economic downturn and attacks on major oil and gas installations has negatively impacted the State's finance. Owen however disclosed that talks are currently going on with leadership of the worker's various unions  and pleaded with them to return to work.
