PROTEST: Okowa, Makinde Committed to DESOPADEC Workers welfare - Owen

Management of the Delta state Oil producing Areas Development Commission DESOPADEC has assured workers of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa administration's commitment to their welfare.

Speaking following a protest by the workers Comrade  Owen Oghenero Edafe,
Personal Assistant on media and publicity to the Managing Director /CEO of Delta state oil producing Areas Development Commission(Desopadec) Williams Makinde, reiterated that the MD is aware of their grievances and remains committed to addressing them as the state's economy continues improve.
He added that recent economic downturn and attacks on major oil and gas installations has negatively impacted the State's finance.
Owen however disclosed that talks are currently going on with leadership of the worker's various unions  and pleaded with them to return to work.
