BEDC WORKER ELECTROCUTED IN WARRI.
A young Benin Electricity Distribution Company BEDC worker was on Tuesday electrocuted while trying to fix a fault on an electric pole wire along Odibo Street in Warri Delta state.
The middle aged BEDC worker according to reports climbed the pole without his hand gloves and other protective gears.
He was reportedly fixing the faulty wire following power outage when power suddenly returned, resulting to a huge spark which flung him to the ground.
It was gathered the victim was left almost lifeless following the incident and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
Sources say some BEDC officials who visited the scene refused to comment on the incident, instead they folded the faulty wire hung it on another pole before driving away.
