BREAKING: NIGERIA SENATE HIJACKED BY HOODLUMS


For the first time in the history of the fourth republic, the Nigerian senate experienced hooliganism in the first degree as the Senate mace got seized by hoodlums who stormed the Senate and seized the symbol of authority.




The senate meanwhile resumed sitting, shortly after the mace, its symbol of authority, was stolen.
The upper legislative chamber replaced the mace with another one, said to be a “spare”.
It is not yet clear where the mace in the chambers had been brought from. The senators are not supposed to sit without the mace, according to its standing rules.
Ovie Omo-Agege, senator from Delta state, had stormed the senate with some unidentified persons and carted away the mace, the symbol of authority.
Ike Ekweremadu, depute senate president, who is presiding over the session, said the senators “are not going to be intimidated”.

Rights Lawyer and former member of the All Progressive Congress APC, Robinson Ariyo says level of disorganization within the APC from the Delta State chapter to the National level is alarming. In an Interview in Warri ,Ariyo  said the party has not just disappointed Nigerians who voted it into power in 2015 but has also dragged the nation backwards. SSS DG REPLACEMENT: IYC SAYS IT IS SECTIONALISM TAKEN TOO FAR

The attention of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) worldwide have been drawn to multiple newspaper reports to the effect that the Presidency is shopping for the replacement of the new Director General of the State Security Services, Mr. Matthew Seiyefa as a result of some reforms embarked upon by the new SSS DG who was appointed less than one month ago.  It was also reported that the Presidency through the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari has ordered Mr. Seiyefa in a letter dated August 30, 2018 to reverse some of the postings that were done and not to taken any further action towards repositioning the security agency without the approval of the Presidency.
