WARRI FIRE: Traders Beg Gov Okowa.
Following fresh inferno that engulfed the Ogbe-Ijoh Market, Warri,at about 11:30pm Friday June 15, leaving no fewer than 100 shops razed down,traders at the market have called on the state government to intervain in the situation
The traders who were yet to recover from the loss of a previous fire outbreak seven months ago in the market,wondered why fire incidents continue to occur in the market inspite of efforts to to arrest the Situation.
Warri South Council Boss, Hon. Tidi in a message through his vice, Mrs. Iniovosa, assured the traders that everything will be done to put a stop to the recurring inferno, noting that his administration will work with the relevant government agencies to provide the needed security and safety measures around the market.
As at the time of this report, the cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
